A Guide To Playing Blackjack
This short piece is going to be about blackjack, one of the great casino games that is out there. It’s a game that is one of the more complex ones which can often put potential players off, and they end up moving on to slots and other easier games. I think that this is a great shame because it’s a very enjoyable game to play and is much more entertaining than most other casino games.
I am going to assume for this article’s sake that you are not playing blackjack in a real casino, you are playing blackjack online instead. The first thing that you need to do is make a deposit a casino you wish to play at. Once this is done you need to find a blackjack game that has table limits which suit your budget which is an easy task. Once this is done you’re ready to start playing.
Blackjack is a game where you’re dealt cards and the idea is to get you hand total as close to 21 as you can without going over. You play against the dealer and you go first and once you’ve chosen to “stand” the dealer then has their go. Stand simply means that you don’t want any more cards and are happy with the card total that you have.
When you go over 21, this is called bust, the dealer automatically wins the game when this happens hence the ever present house edge. It’s also worth pointing out that the dealer follows a set of casino rules when they play rather than following their own intuition.
Between games the dealer rules can vary, but normally for hands of 16 or under they will hit and for 17 and above they will stand. Here you have the basics on how to play blackjack and it is a very simple game which is plain to see. There are a few more complex rules such as the insurance option and surrendering but all of the basics of playing the game are covered above.
