England Got Thrashed By Germany

English supporters in this World cup were hoping from great performance from England. But that never happened because England were sent packing in the last 16 by Germany. Not just sent packing there absolutely smashed up. I watched the game at my local pub and the pub owner wasnt very happy especially when he broke his antique oak furniture because of dismal performance from England against Germany. He explained to me that the furniture was antique because it survived World war 2 and also the fire at their old homeand was his grand fathers favorite chair.

The story is awesome isnt it? I think so. Now lets go back to how England got knocked out in the last 16. Many say they didnt really show what they were made off in the whole World cup let alone last 16, which I think is very true. Though I did think England played a bit better than their group matches but were unlucky not to be 2 each in half time. They had a chance to give it all in the second half to show everyone that can play but that never happened. England conceded awful goals and germany just flew past them in the second half.

Having saying that I do think Germany were brilliant at the back and attacking wise even though they have young team. Germans have shown they can do well without their top leaders in the pitch. Michael Ballack has been missing from the centre midfield and Bastian Schweinsteiger has taken the role and leadership with ease. The new comers Thomas Muller and Mesut Ozil have been influential for Germany. Wayne Rooney never performed for England but was it because of the ankle injury? I feel that injury he suffered while playing for Manchester United was the key moment and Alex Ferguson said it was nothing. But it was an injury and it makes the difference.

Even I feel like throwing my New England furniture or black ash furniture at that horrible Englishs performance at the World cup.
