Real Madrid – the word’s most valuable football brand?
In 2007, Real Madrid was named as the most valuable soccer brand in the world, and in 2008, it was actually the second most valuable football club in the world. Not only are Real Madrid glorious at earning money, but their players are the best on the pitch. Even fans of other teams agree that when Real Madrid are on the pitch they're in a league of their own.
The club was founded in 1902 and it has traditionally been claimed by fans they're the most prominent football club in the world. But they were officially given the title by FIFA, who declared them the most prosperous club in the 20th century. Real Madrid has a fantastic prize cabinet, full of an impressive amount of different trophies.
The locals in Spain call them Los Blancos as the normal home kit is white. The home ground for Real Madrid, the Santiago Bernabeu, is in downtown Madrid and has been in this location since 1947. The motif that is on the kit has been modified several times over time, to try and modernize and re brand the football team.
However , the crest that is now used is very like the first design that was employed in the 1920′s. The interpretation for Real in Spanish is Royal, so the crown was added to the design to acknowledge the name.
