The Best Playground Equipment
The Top 4 Pieces of Playground Equipment
It may be some time since we last used a playground but many of us have fond memories of clambering around on climbing frames, getting butterflies in our tummies when we soared on the see saw, getting in a spin on the roundabout and generally cauisng havock!. Here are my top four pieces of playground equipment that I wish we could still use today without getting funny looks!
4. Climbing Frames
These complex metal structures provide a world of opportunities for climbing, clambering, hanging swinging and generally getting lost in the maze of metal beams. Could you get to the end of the monkey bars? Think you could now? Why not try it!?
3. The See Saw
Remember your first ever go on this tilting counter-balanced beam? You probably felt like you were being launched into space and could have been forgiven for crying your eyes out! Once you got into the swing of things however it was all fun and games, unless of course the person sitting on the other end was considerably heavier than you! Talking of swings¦
2. Swings
The challenge here was to try and get all the way around, of course none of us ever managed it! There was technique to swinging high and fast though, no doubt something which gave the sciensts among us a good grounding in physics!
1. The Roundabout
This was always my personal favourite, up to four people spinning round and round aided by centrifugal force! No doubt most of us still have this feeling whne we stagger out the pub on a Friday night! The roundabout made the news a few years ago when a young chav decided to use the back wheel of his motorised scooter to spin it, terrifying the passenger!
These just a few kids play things that I used to love, now Im more into trampolines, both 8ft trampolines and 12ft trampolines
